Santa Cruz de Tenerife, April 2014.- The Spa at Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque (www.bahia-duque.com), a company owned by the Group CIO (www.cio-company.com), has been chosen by the readers of the prestigious Spanish publication Condé Nast Traveler as the "BEST SPA IN SPAIN". Francisco Javier Zamorano, president of Compañía de las Islas Occcidentales (CIO), collected the award during the course of a party celebrated in Madrid last night, and was presented by the magazine’s publishing director, Sandra del Río.
The Spa Bahía del Duque is a repeat in this category, which it has won twice before, last year and in 2011. Furthermore, this award joins the one it obtained in 2010 as “Best Resort in Spain”.
In the words of Francisco Javier Zamorano, “it is always an honour for us to receive awards like these, especially when it is the readers themselves who choose and vote for their favourite places, as all our hard work is aimed at meeting the needs of the guests who visit us”.
Inspired by the great climate and natural landscapes of the island of Tenerife, the Spa at Bahía del Duque Resort offers a menu of treatments and rituals based on the natural resources of the area where the hotel is located. Marine extracts, volcanic lava and aloe vera, indigenous raw materials of The Canary islands, are some of the ingredients that are used in developing the most innovative and amazing body and facial rituals that make up its treatment menu.
The Spa Bahía del Duque has 20 treatment rooms, 2 thalassotherapy treatment rooms, 5 outdoor cabanas and 2 VIP suites, as well as a spectacular outdoor thalassotherapy circuit, which allows you to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of water from the Atlantic Ocean which bathes the coast of the Hotel and which is heated for its use in the Spa.
