Monday May 15th, 2017.- The team of physiotherapists of the Spa at the Hotel Bahía del Duque, led by Michal Novotny, considered one of the worldwide references in physiotherapy and nutrition, is tending to the Canadian tennis player Milos Raonic during his participation in the Mutua Madrid Tennis Open.

Thanks to the work that the tennis player has done with the team of physiotherapists of the Spa Bahía del Duque, Raonic is in better physical condition after recovering from an injury that took him away from competing for two months. In fact, his objective in Madrid, where he finished his participation in the round of 16, was to recover his energy level.

“Elite athletes need to be in optimum condition for the longest time possible, we achieve this with specific programs developed to prevent injuries. In our physiotherapy area of Bahía del Duque, following a previous assessment, treatment and prevention programs are designed adapted to the needs of each patient. Each treatment is performed with different techniques, with the aim of reaching the appropriate solution for each injury”, states Michal Novotny.

Following the Mutua Madrid Open, where he has tended to Milos Raonic and the Czech tennis player Karolina Pliskova, he is starting to prepare for Roland Garros, the worlds premier clay court tournament, helping them achieve the most suitable and effective physical condition for this surface.

The team of physiotherapists of Bahía del Duque applies, in the Spa of the hotel, their experience working with professional athletes, as well as their development of individual physiotherapy and nutrition techniques to offer personalized programs to each patient. The treatments range from injury prevention, to rehabilitation and dietary services, combining oriental techniques such as acupuncture with western science.
