The Bahia del Duque is inspired by Studio 54 to send off 2016 with a Grand Gala inspired by disco music
Santa Cruz de Tenerife, November 2016.- The Hotel Bahía del Duque (www.bahia-duque.com), company owned by Compañía de las Islas Occidentales (CIO) (www.cio-occidentales.com), will surprise its guests on the night of December 31st with its traditional New Year’s Eve Gala, which on this occasion will be inspired by the disco music of the 70’s in an appropriately named “Grand Gala Studio 54”.
Red Carpet, photocall, glitter, variety shows and lots of music thanks to the orchestra “Saturday Nite”, will create an atmosphere that transports our guests to the ambiance of the legendary new York nightclub, meeting place of Manhattans most chic people of that decade.
The team of the Bahía del Duque will create a festive atmosphere to make the most of the last few days of the year, with special attention being placed on the culinary proposals of the Hotel. On one hand, the Belgian Chef Pierre Résimont, who has been awarded two Michelin Stars in his restaurant L’Eau-Vive in Belgium, will be in charge of creating the menu for the Christmas Eve dinner at the Restaurant La Brassiere, which will include dishes such as “Roasted turbot, pea mousseline, tomato confit and boletus double cream” or “Loin of white veal, truffle puree and vegetables from organic agriculture”.
The Restaurant Las Aguas has also created a special menu for Christmas Day that focuses on the flavours of Canarian cuisine and includes amongst others “Smoked salmon from Uga (Lanzarote) with avocado tartar and semi-dried tomatoes” or “Pelibuey lamb tenderloin with a reduction in his juice and traditional marinade, roasted black potatoes and micro-vegetables”
On the other hand, the team of chefs of the Hotel Bahía del Duque, led by its executive chef Juan Miguel Cabrera in collaboration with Chef Braulio Simancas, have designed a menu in accordance with the theme of the gala, where they have included dishes such as “Red king Prawn prepared in Armagnac with micro-vegetables and citrus”, or Tenderloin from Ávila, roasted foie, gold beads And reduction of his juice”.
For those who would prefer a different option for New Year’s Eve, the Hotel will offer in all its restaurants a special New Year’s Eve menu which will include such amazing dishes as “Poularde velouté, mushrooms and roasted chestnuts” or “Roast hake, seaweed and sea urchin butter with lemon and Champagne risotto”
The arrival of 2017 will also be celebrated in the Hotel Bahía del Duque on January 2nd, with its traditional New Year’s Barbeque, which on this occasion will be inspired by the colours and the exoticism of Rio de Janeiro and accompanied by the musical group “La Maquinaria Band” and will end with a spectacular fireworks show.
For those who would rather use this time to relax and recharge batteries, the Spa Bahía del Duque has, in collaboration with the Spanish cosmetics brand Natura Bissé, designed a Christmas star treatment, the Diamond Rose Ritual. It includes a whole body exfoliation using Damask Rose and Diamond Dust giving the skin the perfect softness and luminosity and providing that radiant look for the festive season.
